Since ClipShopShare is about teaching how to effectively help others through donations I wanted to let you know of a few programs that aren’t coupon related.
The first, Labels for Education. This is a school fundraising program, but you don’t have to have a child in school to participate. Schools are in desperate need of funds right now, and the entire community can help them. This is a different kind of fundraising. By saving product UPCs and beverage caps from participating products schools can earn free educational merchandise, such as computers, software, sports equipment, musical instruments, library books and even a minivan. Anyone can save the UPCs and beverage caps from participating products and give them to the school. The school then redeems the points collected for free merchandise. If you are reading this article I encourage you whether you have children or not to participate in helping the school of your choice.
In addition to saving UPCs and beverages you can (and should) also register your shopper card. Current shoppers cards to Kroger, Carrs, Safeway, City Market, Dillons, Dominicks, Fred Meyer, Fry’s, Genuardi’s, Jay C’s, King Soopers, Pavilions, Price Chopper, QFC Quality Food Centers, Ralph’s, Randalls, Safeway, Shoprite, Smith’s, Tom Thumb, or Vons are participating. Simply go to www.eLabelsForEducation.com and register by entering your shopper card number and selecting your school. If your school doesn’t participate or you don’t care what school gets the points, our school would gladly accept them (Westbrook Elementary School, Brookville, OH). By doing this, each participating product purchased at your favorite participating retailer earns 1 point that will be credited to the participating school of your choice and credited to their Labels for Education account automatically. Now through February 5, 2011 if you register your shoppers card the school of your choice will receive 100 bonus points. What are you waiting for? Register that shopper card right now.
To find out if your school participates in the Labels for Education program, visit Find My School and enter your school’s zip code. If your school doesn’t participate, by all means, our local school would be happy to accept your donations: (Westbrook Elementary zip code 45309). Simply email me at kim.w@clipshopshare.com for the address of where to send the donations. There are a variety of schools and organizations that participate with Labels for Education including: public and private schools (grades K-12); home school associations (grades K-12); licensed child care centers; public libraries; religious educational centers; head start centers having any of the grades K though 12; pre-schools located in the 50 United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and any schools located on any U.S. military installation, regardless of location.
So there you have it, a guide to Labels for Education. So, have anyone you know (parent’s, grandparents, neighbors, co-workers, sisters, brothers, etc) sign up now at www.eLabelsForEducation.com before February 5, 2011 and get your school the extra 100 Bonus Points today!
